Coach Boats

The US Sailing Center – Long Beach has a variety of Coach/RC Boats available for charter. Below is further information about the charter process and details about the boats.

We accept payment by Mastercard and Visa or check in advance. A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold a boat upon reservation. The balance is Due 30 days in advance of the charter dates or upon reservation within 30 days of the charter dates. Cancellations within 30 days of the charter dates may receive a partial refund less an additional $100 management fee subject to ability to charter to another party.

MC/Visa required for “Damage Deposit” – “Authorization Only”, no charge unless damages occur.

Boats are to be picked up and returned to the US Sailing Center-Long Beach unless otherwise stated and agreed. The boats will be given to the charterer fully fueled and ready for departure. Pricing does not include gas and oil (2?stroke motors).

US Coast Guard Safety Equipment and vessel Insurance (Protection and Indemnity) is included with the charter. The Charterer is liable for all damage to vessel and any damage or injury caused to other parties. In the event of an insurance claim the charterer is responsible for any Insurance Deductible and for all costs not covered by insurance (negligence, etc.).

This is a “Bare Boat Charter” thus by chartering this vessel the charterer assumes all care, custody and control for the vessel, its passengers and cargo during the charter and assures prudent operation of the vessel at all times in a safe and seamanship manner.

Vessel operators and passengers are required to complete a United States Sailing Center – Long Beach Release of Liability Form before release of vessel to charterer.

All charterers and vessel operators are subject to approval. Qualifications are subject to review. To qualify as a charter vessel operator a brief resume is required. Basic qualifications (or evidence of commensurate experience) include: Current US Coast Guard License; Current US SAILING Level 1, 2 or 3 Certified Instructor or Current US SAILING Small Powerboat Operator Certificate, 5 Years Documentable Experience as Instructor operating Safety Boats, Current 1st Aid and CPR desirable.
